 Owner/Operator Leo Schweiss started his welding business in the Spring of 1974 shortly after
graduating from the Welding/Fabrication Program at Hutchinson Technical College. Leo had
always dreamed of being his own boss and owning a shop which would service the needs of a
growing farming community. His expertise in performing repair work is known within a 60 mile
radius and beyond.
Leo designed the Schweiss Chicken Plucker in 1972 as a FFA (Future Farmers of America)
project. When he left for technical college he allowed his brother to manufacture the plucker
and he continued to do this for several years. With a new updated design Leo has jumped back
into the plucker business and continues to provide his poultry customers with a quality
product at a reasonable price. Customers are amazed at the fact that the Schweiss Chicken
Plucker even removes pin feathers from the poultry - leaving the bird clean in minutes.
 In 1981 Leo was inspired to build a sandbox toy for his son and the Schweiss Mini-Backhoe
for Kids was developed. This heavy durable sandbox Mini-Backhoe provides hours of
entertainment along with developing large and small motor skills. Over 700 Mini-Backhoes
have been sold to satisfied park departments, resort owners and individual families.
Their sturdy construction outlives a childhood and can be passed down from generation to
generation!
 At Schweiss Welding we also service and sell Karcher Cleaning Systems - a full line of
high pressure washers - Hot-Cold-Steam featuring either gas engines or electric. Karcher
also manufactures Window Washers, Vacuum Cleaners, Carpet Cleaners and a full line of
superior chemicals - all designed with the quality Karcher Cleaning Systems is world
renowned for.
In addition to Karcher Pressure Washers we service other brand washers and provide
technical support over the phone whenever possible - our goal is to satisfy the customer in
the shortest period of time!

 Schweiss Welding is a manufacturing facility, repair service center and specialty job shop
with enough up-to-date equipment to provide the customer with fast efficient service at an
affordable price. Leo has built ornamental wrought iron railings, fencing and banisters for
all types of facilities - he even has inserted stained glass in some of his railings!
His goal is to establish a full service welding shop providing expert service with practical
sensible solutions to your welding needs!
